William (Bill) Pitkin is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager on the Fundamental Growth & Core Equity team which is part of State Street Investment Management’s Active Fundamental Equity team that includes a Fundamental Value Equity team based in Dublin, Ireland. Led by Chief Investment Officer Michael Solecki, CFA, the Active Fundamental Equity team managed $20.5 billion in assets across 20 strategies as of June 30, 2026, and has a multi-decade heritage of active fundamental equity investing. The team is comprised of 43 investment professionals including 13 experienced portfolio managers.Bill has been a valued member of the Active Fundamental Equity team since 2007, serving as a Vice President in Equity Research covering semiconductors, communications equipment, networking, and related technology sectors. Throughout his tenure, he has been a key contributor to State Street Investment Management’s investment process, partnering closely with portfolio managers across our domestic, global, and international strategies while providing differentiated fundamental research, valuation insights, and investment recommendations.Prior to joining State Street Investment Management, Bill held senior investment roles at GE Asset Management, International Strategy & Investment (ISI), and Merrill Lynch, bringing more than three decades of experience in fundamental equity investing, portfolio management, and equity research. He holds a degree in Economics from Williams College and an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
